Keltec's pleated air-oil filter is designed to increase the capacity of a given sized air-oil separator through the use of pleated filter media. To manufacture pleated media, the filter media is processed through a machine that recofigures the normally flat surface to a “pleated” surface that is wave-like in appearance. A separator using Keltec pleated media has the capacity to accomodate approximately two times the air flow capacity of a standard air-oil separator, manufactured in the standard, wrapped method.
