History and Development of Waco
Waco is the largest independent / privately held filter distributor in the US. We have developed a business model based on filter consolidations across the customer's enterprise which delivers hard dollar savings in filtration costs year after year. Founded in 1970 in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, Waco has grown to a national presence with over 11 branches through a process of organic growth and acquisitions.

The company has strong regional presence in the Northeast, Southeast, the Gulf Coast, Midwest, and West Coast. The regional locations are knitted together by an Enterprise Management System (EMS) that consolidates all purchasing, inventory, sales, shipping, and accounting so that customers throughout the Waco network receive the same first class service.

Acquisitions have enabled Waco to grow geographically and expand our product solutions. In 2000 Waco developed and launched its filter consolidation program to enable customers to leverage their filter spend. The savings program named FIMS (Filter Inventory and Management Solutions) provides guaranteed cost of filtration savings, inventory buy back and 90 day contract implementation with better than 80% compliance for users of a wide variety of critical air, liquid and gas filters. In the past 24 months our documented hard dollar savings for for larger accounts has exceeded $3,200,000.

In 2008 Waco marked another year of double digit growth through acquisitions and organic growth.
